Born at a time when the Second World War still raged on, I have experienced several tumultuous days as well as years of joy and victory as my Maker pleased.

Within my nation Ghana, I was born in the capital city, Accra, but was raised in the rural framework of a cocoa growing area – Asamankese – in an era that exposed me to various ethnic groups and dialects, according me the status of a detribalised, cosmopolitan Ghanaian.

By the grace of the Almighty, I had the opportunity by dint of politics to travel to all the constituencies, district and regional capitals of Ghana in my abortive attempt to become the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Furthermore, academic awards, conferences and other opportunities as a Diplomat, Minister and Speaker of Parliament of Ghana, took me to all the continents of the world, save Australia, and several cities of the world making me a global person.
